─Where are you from?（どこの国から来ましたか？）

I come from Mississauga, Ontario which is west of Toronto, It has a population of about 700,000. Pearson International Airport, Toronto's airport, is actually located in Mississauga. Like Fuji, my hometown is rather industrial and very close to the water, specifically to lake Ontario. If you come to Toronto, remember, you really are visitng Mississauga first!

─What are your hobbies?（趣味は？）

I love reading books. I love reading all kinds of books, especially about history, psychology, philosophy and romance. I also enjoy taking long walks and biking. Both are great ways to get into shape and to see what is new with nature and the neighborhood. Finally, I love watching movies. I watch my favorite movies again and again. For example, before I came to Japan, when I lived in Seoul, South Korea. I saw the movie 'Avatar' 8 times in the theater. I saw it once on an IMAX screen in 3D - it was absolutely amazing. Also, I have more than 100 DVDs at home, in Canada.

─How has living in Japan been?（日本で、どんな生活体験をしていますか？）

I have been lving in Fuji for over a month now. I came here a week before my birthday. It was great to celebrate it here with my sister at a local Izekaya with some delicious skewered chicken and beer.

─Which places have you visited in Japan, and which was your favorite?（日本の中でどこに行きましたか、またどの場所が一番好きですか？）

I have visited Tokyo and Numazu and Shizuoka city and Kamakura and Osaka, and of course, Fuji. My most recent favorite place in Japan is Inokashira park in Kichijoji. I was there a few weeks ago. It was nice to see so many people out, with their kids and and dogs and friends, walking and enjoying early spring.

─What are some memorable moments in Japan?（日本で、どんなことが心に残っていますか？）

So far, the best moment since I came to live in Fuji was when I went to Hiromi park in Fuji. From the top of the stairs you can look down and see all of Fuji city and beyond, straight clear to the sea. It is very peaceful in the park and the view is spectacular. I hope this weekend the weather will be warm and clear so I can take some lovely photos.

─What is your personal message to everyone?（皆様へのメッセージ）

Since I have just arrived in Japan, I am sure that there are many things that I am doing wrong. I hope people will forgive my mistakes. Japan has many customs that I am unaware of. Slowly, but surely, I hope to become familiar with Japan's customs and people. After all, it is one of the main reasons I came to Japan.
